Syngonium 'Mojito' is a highly sought-after cultivar distinguished by its irregular, marbled variegation — dark green and pale mint splashed together in an unpredictable, almost hand-painted pattern across each arrow-shaped leaf. No two leaves are alike, making every plant a one-of-a-kind composition. The contrast between the deep and light tones gives the foliage a dynamic, layered quality that reads beautifully in any light.

Care Guide

• Light: Bright, indirect light produces the most vivid marbled contrast. Insufficient light will cause the pale mint variegation to fade toward a more uniform green. An east- or west-facing window is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can bleach or scorch the foliage.
• Water: Keep the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. Ensure the pot has adequate drainage — Syngoniums will not tolerate sitting in water. Reduce watering in winter.
• Humidity: Thrives with 50–70% humidity. Higher humidity encourages larger, more dramatically variegated leaves. A humidifier, pebble tray, or grouping with other plants works well.
• Temperature: Prefers 60–85°F (15–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and temperatures below 55°F.
• Soil: A well-draining, nutrient-rich potting mix is ideal. Adding perlite improves aeration and prevents compaction over time.
• Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring–summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Consistent feeding supports the vigorous growth this cultivar is known for.
• Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when roots begin escaping the drainage holes. Syngoniums are fast growers and benefit from fresh soil regularly.
• Pruning: Pinch back new growth to encourage a fuller, bushier habit. Vines can also be left to trail or trained up a moss pole as the plant matures and leaves develop their more lobed adult form.
