Care Guide

• Light: Bright indirect light with some gentle morning sun. A south- or east-facing window is ideal. Insufficient light causes the distinctive dolphin shape to revert to flatter, less defined leaves — good light is key to maintaining the characteristic form.
• Water: Water deeply, then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again. String of Dolphins is more sensitive to overwatering than many succulents — err firmly on the side of underwatering.
• Humidity: Prefers average to low household humidity (30–50%). Does not require supplemental humidity; excess moisture can promote rot at the soil line.
• Temperature: 60–80°F (15–27°C). Protect from frost and temperatures below 40°F. Brief cool periods in winter can encourage blooming.
• Soil: Fast-draining cactus or succulent mix with added perlite (up to 50%). Drainage is the single most important factor for long-term health.
