Monster Adansonii Albo
$20.00
Monstera Adansonii Albo is one of the most sought-after variegated aroids in the collector world — a rare, fenestrated climbing Monstera featuring the iconic Swiss cheese leaf pattern splashed with bold, creamy white variegation. No two leaves are alike, making each plant a one-of-a-kind living sculpture for the serious collector.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright indirect light is essential. Variegated sections lack chlorophyll — insufficient light stresses the plant, while direct sun scorches the white portions. An east- or west-facing window is ideal.
- Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. The white variegated areas are more sensitive to overwatering — always use a well-draining mix and a pot with drainage holes.
- Humidity: Thrives at 60–80% humidity. A humidifier is strongly recommended; avoid dry indoor air, especially in winter.
- Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F, which can cause stress and leaf damage.
- Soil: Chunky, well-aerated aroid mix (perlite, orchid bark, coco coir). Avoid dense or moisture-retaining soils.
- Support: Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage larger, more fenestrated leaves as the plant matures.
- Fertilizer: Balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer. Reduce in fall; pause in winter.
- Repotting: Every 1–2 years or when rootbound. Choose a pot 1–2 inches larger to avoid overwatering risk.
- Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
A true grail plant — rare, breathtaking, and endlessly rewarding for the collector who knows what they’re looking for.
