The Jessenia Pothos (Epipremnum aureum 'Jessenia') is a collector-favorite cultivar distinguished by its rich emerald green leaves marbled with chartreuse and lime-yellow variegation. More stable and consistent than many variegated pothos, Jessenia holds its pattern reliably — each leaf a unique composition of light and dark green tones that deepen in character as the plant matures.

Presented in an 8" nursery pot, this is a well-established, full specimen ready to trail, climb, or anchor a shelf.

Care Guide

  • Light: Thrives in bright to medium indirect light. Brighter conditions enhance and preserve the chartreuse variegation; lower light will cause leaves to shift toward deeper green. Avoid direct sun, which scorches foliage.
  • Water: Water when the top 1–2" of soil feel dry. Water thoroughly and allow to drain fully. Pothos are forgiving of occasional drought but do not tolerate standing water or consistently wet soil.
  • Humidity: Adaptable to average household humidity (40–60%), though higher humidity encourages lusher growth. Not as humidity-sensitive as many aroids.
  • Temperature: Comfortable between 60–85°F (15–29°C). Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F for extended periods.
  • Soil: A well-draining potting mix is ideal. Amend with perlite to improve drainage and reduce compaction over time.
  • Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Reduce to every 6–8 weeks in fall; withhold in winter.
  • Support: Naturally vining — allow to trail from a shelf or provide a moss pole to encourage larger, more mature leaf development as it climbs.
  • Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when roots circle the base of the pot. Move up one pot size at a time.

Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
