Anthurium Ree Pap x RVDP Variegated
$200.00
A remarkable hybrid born from two highly sought-after Anthurium lineages — Ree Pap and RVDP (Red Velvet Dark Purple) — this variegated cross is a collector's statement piece. Leaves emerge with unpredictable, high-contrast variegation: creamy whites and pale yellows bleeding through deep, velvety greens, each leaf a one-of-a-kind expression. The velutinous texture and bold coloration of the RVDP parent carry through beautifully, while the Ree Pap lineage contributes elegant leaf architecture and vigorous growth. No two plants are alike — and that is precisely the point.
Sourced and selected for exceptional variegation expression. Offered as a rooted plant.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can bleach variegation and scorch leaves. An east- or north-facing window with filtered light is ideal.
- Water: Water thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of substrate are dry. Never allow the root zone to sit in standing water. Reduce frequency in cooler months.
- Humidity: Thrives at 70%+ relative humidity. Use a humidifier or grow in an enclosure for best results. Avoid dry, air-conditioned environments.
- Temperature: Keep between 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 60°F.
- Substrate: A chunky, well-aerated aroid mix is essential — combine bark, perlite, and a small amount of coco coir or sphagnum. Strong drainage is non-negotiable.
- Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength every 2–4 weeks during the active growing season. Flush the substrate periodically to prevent salt buildup.
- Repotting: Repot when roots become visibly pot-bound, typically every 1–2 years. Choose a pot only slightly larger than the root mass.
- Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
