ZZ Black Queen
$18.00
The ZZ Black Queen is the darkest, most dramatic cultivar in the Zamioculcas family — and arguably the most coveted. Its waxy, lance-shaped leaflets emerge in deep olive before maturing to a near-black, lacquered finish that reads as pure sculptural luxury. Slow-growing and architecturally bold, the Black Queen makes an unmistakable statement in minimalist interiors, dark academia spaces, or any setting that calls for a plant with genuine presence. A true collector's specimen.
Care Guide
- Light: Low to bright indirect light. Tolerates low light better than most — avoid direct sun which fades the dark coloration.
- Water: Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water every 2–3 weeks; less in winter. Extremely drought-tolerant via rhizome storage.
- Humidity: Adaptable — tolerates average household humidity (40–50%). No misting needed.
- Temperature: 60–85°F (15–29°C). Avoid temps below 45°F and cold drafts.
- Soil: Fast-draining cactus or succulent mix, or standard potting mix amended with perlite.
- Fertilizer: Feed 2–3x during the growing season (spring–summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength.
- Repotting: Every 2–3 years or when roots emerge from drainage holes.
- Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested — keep out of reach. ⚠️
