Care Guide

• Light: Bright, indirect light brings out the strongest variegation. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the pale patches, but too little light will cause the white to fade and revert toward green.
• Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Syngoniums prefer to stay lightly moist but never waterlogged — soggy roots are the fastest route to decline. Reduce frequency in winter.
• Humidity: Thrives at 50%+ humidity. A pebble tray, humidifier, or placement in a bright bathroom keeps it lush and prevents crispy leaf margins.
• Temperature: Ideal range is 60–85°F (16–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and heating vents.
• Soil & Potting: A well-draining, aerated mix — such as a peat- or coco-based blend with added perlite — is ideal. Repot in spring when roots begin to circle the base.
• Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring through summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Skip feeding in fall and winter.
• Toxicity: Toxic to cats, dogs, and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets and children.
