Syngonium 'Candy Berry' is a vivid cultivar celebrated for its deeply saturated, berry-pink foliage — rich, jewel-toned leaves that hold their color with remarkable intensity, especially in bright indirect light. Arrow-shaped when young, the leaves develop a more lobed, multi-fingered form as the plant matures, adding structural interest to an already striking color palette.

Care Guide

• Light: Bright, indirect light is essential to maintain the deep berry-pink coloration. Insufficient light will cause the leaves to revert toward green — a well-lit east- or west-facing window is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can bleach the vivid pigmentation.
• Water: Keep the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. Reduce watering in winter and ensure the pot has adequate drainage to prevent root rot.
• Humidity: Thrives with 50–70% humidity. Higher humidity encourages larger, more intensely colored leaves. A humidifier, pebble tray, or grouping with other plants will help maintain moisture levels.
• Temperature: Prefers 60–85°F (15–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and temperatures below 55°F.
• Soil: A well-draining, nutrient-rich potting mix is ideal. Adding perlite improves aeration and prevents compaction.
• Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring–summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Consistent feeding supports vigorous growth and helps sustain the vivid coloration.
• Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when roots begin escaping the drainage holes. Syngoniums are fast growers and benefit from fresh soil regularly.
• Pruning: Pinch back new growth to encourage a fuller, bushier habit. Vines can also be left to trail or trained up a moss pole as the plant matures.
