Care Guide

• Light: Bright indirect light brings out the best color. Avoid direct sun, which bleaches variegation. Low light dulls the pink tones significantly.
• Water: Keep soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water with filtered or room-temperature water — Stromanthes are sensitive to fluoride and salts in tap water.
• Humidity: High humidity (60%+) is essential. Dry air causes leaf curl and browning edges. A humidifier is strongly recommended.
• Temperature: 65–80°F (18–27°C). Avoid cold drafts, air vents, and temperatures below 60°F.
• Soil: A moisture-retentive yet well-draining mix — peat or coco coir blended with perlite works well.
• Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer. Reduce or stop in winter.
• Repotting: Repot in spring when rootbound, sizing up by one pot. Refresh soil annually for best growth.
• Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets and humans — a great choice for pet-friendly homes.
