Care Guide

• Light: Bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can bleach the silver patterning. Low light is tolerated but slows variegation development.
• Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of substrate are dry. Scindapsus prefers to dry slightly between waterings — overwatering is the most common cause of decline.
• Humidity: 50–70% ideal. Tolerates average household humidity better than most aroids, but higher humidity encourages larger, more patterned leaves.
• Substrate: Well-draining chunky mix — sphagnum moss, perlite, and orchid bark work well. Avoid dense, moisture-retentive soils.
• Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from drafts and temperatures below 55°F.
• Fertilizer: Balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength, monthly during active growth (spring–summer). Reduce or pause in winter.
• Support: Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage larger, more expressive foliage as it climbs.
