Scindapsus Argy White Crocodile Marble
$35.00
Scindapsus pictus 'Argy White Crocodile Marble' is a collector-grade aroid prized for its deeply textured, crocodile-skin foliage and bold silver-white marbling that intensifies with maturity. Each leaf carries a distinct pattern — no two are alike — making this one of the more visually striking cultivars in the Scindapsus pictus complex.
This specimen is rooted in sphagnum moss and ready to establish in your preferred substrate. A slow and deliberate grower, the Argy White Crocodile rewards patience with increasingly dramatic foliage as it climbs.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can bleach the silver patterning. Low light is tolerated but slows variegation development.
- Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of substrate are dry. Scindapsus prefers to dry slightly between waterings — overwatering is the most common cause of decline.
- Humidity: 50–70% ideal. Tolerates average household humidity better than most aroids, but higher humidity encourages larger, more patterned leaves.
- Substrate: Well-draining chunky mix — sphagnum moss, perlite, and orchid bark work well. Avoid dense, moisture-retentive soils.
- Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from drafts and temperatures below 55°F.
- Fertilizer: Balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength, monthly during active growth (spring–summer). Reduce or pause in winter.
- Support: Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage larger, more expressive foliage as it climbs.
Sold as a rooted cutting in sphagnum moss. Ships bare root. For collectors — not a beginner plant, but not fussy once established.
