Care Guide

☀️ Light

Thrives in bright, indirect light. An east- or north-facing window with filtered light is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the elongated leaves, and low-light conditions that slow growth significantly.

💧 Water

Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. This species prefers consistent moisture without waterlogging. Use filtered, room-temperature water when possible. Reduce watering frequency in winter.

💦 Humidity

Prefers 60–80% relative humidity. A humidifier, pebble tray, or enclosed plant cabinet significantly improves vigor and leaf size. Avoid dry forced-air heating vents.

🌡️ Temperature

Keep between 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F. Not frost tolerant.

🌱 Soil & Potting

Use a well-draining aroid mix: combine orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir in roughly equal parts. Excellent drainage is essential — this species is highly susceptible to root rot in dense, moisture-retentive soils.

🪴 Fertilizer

Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half-strength every 3–4 weeks during the active growing season (spring through early fall). Flush the soil periodically to prevent salt buildup.

🌿 Support

Provide a moss pole or coir totem to encourage larger leaf development and upward climbing — a hallmark of this species in its natural habitat.
