Philodendron Pink Princess Marble Galaxy 6”
$40.00
Philodendron erubescens ‘Pink Princess’ Marble Galaxy is an extraordinary expression of the already-coveted Pink Princess lineage — its deep, near-black green leaves are scattered with a constellation of pink, blush, and white variegation in fine speckles, splashes, and diffuse marbling that spreads across the leaf surface like stars across a night sky. The Galaxy form is distinguished by its uniquely dispersed, multi-tonal variegation pattern — less defined than standard PPP sectors, more atmospheric and painterly than the Marble form — creating a plant of exceptional rarity and visual complexity. A crown jewel for the serious collector.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright indirect light is essential to maintain the pink and white galaxy variegation. Insufficient light causes new leaves to emerge darker and less variegated. Avoid direct sun, which bleaches and scorches the variegated sections.
- Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Variegated sections are more sensitive to overwatering — err on the drier side and ensure excellent drainage.
- Humidity: Thrives at 60–80% humidity. A humidifier is strongly recommended for optimal leaf size and variegation expression.
- Temperature: Prefers 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F.
- Soil: Rich, well-draining aroid mix — potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark for structure and aeration.
- Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Avoid high-nitrogen formulas, which can suppress pink variegation.
- Support: Vining — a moss pole encourages larger, more dramatically variegated leaves as it climbs.
- Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
