Care Guide

Light

Thrives in bright, indirect light. Tolerates lower light conditions but produces the most vivid foliage color near a north- or east-facing window, or set back from a brighter exposure. Avoid prolonged direct sun, which scorches leaves and fades the signature chartreuse hue.

Water

Water thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Ensure the pot drains freely — Moonlight is susceptible to root rot if left sitting in soggy media. Reduce frequency in winter when growth slows.

Humidity & Temperature

Prefers humidity above 50%. Grows best between 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and temperatures below 55°F (13°C).

Soil & Potting

Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix — a blend of high-quality potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark works well. Repot every 1–2 years or when roots begin circling the base of the pot.

Fertilizing

Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength every 3–4 weeks during the active growing season (spring through summer). Hold off fertilizing in fall and winter.
