Philodendron 'Jose Buono Fiesta' is a spectacular variegated cultivar of the already-coveted Jose Buono — its large, elongated leaves are boldly splashed and sectored with creamy white and pale yellow variegation against a rich, deep green base, each leaf emerging as a unique, unrepeatable composition. The Fiesta form is distinguished by its particularly vivid and generous variegation, making it one of the most visually dramatic large-leafed Philodendrons available to collectors. Vigorous, climbing, and breathtaking at scale — a true centerpiece plant for the serious aroid enthusiast.

Care Guide

  • Light: Bright indirect light is essential to support the heavy variegation and maintain vigorous growth. Insufficient light will slow growth and reduce variegation intensity. Avoid direct sun.
  • Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. The variegated sections are more sensitive to overwatering — consistent but moderate moisture is ideal.
  • Humidity: Prefers 60–80% humidity. A humidifier is strongly recommended to support large leaf development and prevent browning on variegated edges.
  • Temperature: Prefers 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F.
  • Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix — combine potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark for optimal aeration and drainage.
  • Fertilizer: Feed every 2–3 weeks during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength to fuel vigorous growth without stressing the variegated foliage.
  • Support: Provide a moss pole or sturdy trellis — Jose Buono Fiesta is a climber and produces increasingly larger, more dramatic leaves with vertical support.
  • Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
