Monstera Marylin Large Form 30
$45.00
Meet the Monstera Marylin — a bold, architectural statement plant that commands attention with its dramatic, deeply fenestrated leaves. The large form takes everything collectors love about Monstera and turns up the volume: bigger splits, broader blades, and an unmistakable tropical presence that transforms any space it inhabits.
Rare in cultivation and sought-after by serious plant collectors, the Marylin is a cultivar celebrated for its generous leaf size and reliable fenestration even at a young age. A centerpiece plant by nature, it rewards attentive care with vigorous, show-stopping growth.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Tolerates moderate light but grows fastest and develops the deepest fenestrations in brighter conditions. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch leaves.
- Water: Water thoroughly when the top 2 inches of soil are dry. Allow excess to drain fully — Monsteras do not like sitting in water. Reduce frequency in winter.
- Humidity: Prefers 50–70% humidity. Mists, pebble trays, or a nearby humidifier will encourage lush, large-leaf growth.
- Temperature: Thrives between 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts and air conditioning vents. Not frost tolerant.
- Soil: A well-draining, aerated mix — combine quality potting soil with perlite and a touch of bark for optimal root health.
- Fertilizer: Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season (spring–summer). Ease off in fall and winter.
- Support: As a climbing aroid, the Marylin appreciates a moss pole or trellis to encourage upright growth and larger leaf development.
- Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years in spring when roots begin to circle the base. Size up by one pot at a time.
- Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
