Maranta Lemon Lime

Maranta leuconeura ‘Lemon Lime’

Bright lime-green veins trace a distinctive pattern across soft, deep-green leaves, giving Maranta ‘Lemon Lime’ its fresh, graphic appearance. Known as a prayer plant, its foliage lifts in the evening and lowers again with daylight.

Its low, spreading habit makes it a beautiful choice for shelves and tabletops, with stems that can gently trail as the plant matures. It thrives with steady moisture, warmth, and humid air.

Care

• Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid strong direct sun, which can scorch or fade the leaves.
• Water: Water when the surface of the potting mix begins to dry. Keep evenly moist without leaving the roots sitting in water.
• Humidity: Prefers higher humidity. Keep away from heating vents and dry drafts.
• Temperature: Ideally 65–80°F, with protection from cold drafts.
• Soil: A well-draining, moisture-retentive potting mix and a pot with drainage holes.
• Feeding: Use a balanced houseplant fertilizer at half strength monthly during active growth.
• Pets: Generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, but not intended for eating.

Brown leaf tips can develop with dry air, inconsistent watering, or mineral buildup. Filtered or distilled water may help if tip browning persists.
