Hoya Carnosa Albo 6" HB
$20.00
The Hoya Carnosa Albo (Hoya carnosa 'Albomarginata') is a classic wax plant dressed in its finest — thick, waxy leaves edged in clean white to creamy ivory, trailing in lush cascades from the hanging basket with effortless elegance. Each leaf catches the light differently, giving the plant a luminous, ever-changing quality that rewards a second look.
Mature plants produce clusters of fragrant, star-shaped porcelain blooms that are as beautiful as they are sweetly scented. A timeless collector's Hoya that combines striking variegation with the promise of bloom — and thrives on the kind of minimal care most plants only dream of.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright indirect light maintains the crispest white margins and encourages blooming. Avoid low light, which can cause reversion, and harsh direct sun, which scorches the leaves.
- Water: Allow soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. Hoyas store water in their waxy leaves and are highly susceptible to root rot — when in doubt, wait.
- Humidity: Tolerates average household humidity; higher humidity encourages more vigorous growth and blooming.
- Temperature: Prefers 60–80°F (16–27°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F.
- Fertilizer: Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced or bloom-boosting fertilizer at half strength.
- Repotting: Repot infrequently — Hoyas bloom best when slightly root-bound. Move up only one pot size when roots escape the drainage holes.
