Hoya Burtoniae 'DS-70' Variegated is a stunning sport of the beloved Burtoniae, distinguished by its fuzzy, velvety leaves splashed and streaked with creamy yellow-to-white variegation against a deep olive-green base. Care Guide

• Light: Bright, indirect light is essential to maintain and intensify the variegation. More light encourages faster growth and more frequent blooming. Avoid low light, which will cause the variegation to fade, and harsh direct sun, which can scorch the velvety leaves.
• Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Burtoniae is more forgiving than many Hoyas but still susceptible to root rot in consistently wet conditions. Reduce watering in winter.
• Humidity: Tolerates average household humidity (40–60%) but thrives with higher levels. The fuzzy leaves can trap moisture, so ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
• Temperature: Prefers 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F.
• Soil: A well-draining mix is key — combine quality potting mix with perlite and orchid bark for optimal aeration and drainage.
• Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring–summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. A phosphorus-rich fertilizer can encourage blooming.
• Repotting: Slightly root-bound conditions encourage blooming. Repot only when roots are escaping drainage holes, moving up one pot size at a time.
