Alocasia Teletubbies 2”
$14.00
The Alocasia Teletubbies is a whimsical yet genuinely captivating dwarf aroid, named for its rounded, pudgy leaves that emerge in a charmingly rotund form unlike any other Alocasia in cultivation.
Despite its playful nickname, this is a serious collector’s plant — compact, characterful, and surprisingly rare. Its thick, glossy leaves and low, spreading habit make it a standout on any plant shelf or terrarium. A conversation piece that earns its place in even the most curated collection.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch and fade the glossy foliage.
- Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. This compact species prefers consistent but moderate moisture — never waterlogged.
- Humidity: Thrives at 60–75% humidity. A pebble tray or humidifier is recommended, especially indoors.
- Temperature: Keep between 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and sudden drops in temperature.
- Soil: Well-draining aroid mix — perlite, orchid bark, and coco coir blend recommended.
- Fertiliser: Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength.
- Dormancy: May slow or drop leaves in winter. Reduce watering and resume normal care once growth picks up in spring.
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Handle with care.
