Alocasia Pink Polly Mutation 2”
$30.00
The Alocasia Pink Polly Mutation is a rare spontaneous sport of the classic Polly, expressing unusual pink-toned variegation and colour breaks that set it apart from any standard cultivar — a genuine oddity for the serious collector.
Retaining the bold, arrowhead silhouette and vivid white veining of its Polly parent, this mutation introduces blush and rose-pink tones that emerge unpredictably across the foliage. Every leaf is a surprise. Every plant is a one-of-a-kind specimen — grown and selected for expression quality before leaving our greenhouse.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright indirect light. Pink-toned tissue is delicate — direct sun will cause rapid bleaching and burn.
- Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Avoid overwatering; mutant and variegated tissue is more susceptible to rot.
- Humidity: Maintain 60–80% humidity. A humidifier is strongly recommended to support stable new growth.
- Temperature: Ideal range is 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts, vents, and temperature fluctuations.
- Soil: Light, well-draining aroid mix — perlite, orchid bark, and coco coir blend recommended.
- Fertiliser: Feed lightly every 6–8 weeks during the growing season with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser.
- Dormancy: Growth slows in winter. Reduce watering frequency and hold fertiliser until spring growth resumes.
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Handle with care.
