Alocasia Nobilis 'Pink K' is a rare collector-grade aroid prized for its dramatic, elongated leaves and striking pink-flushed petioles — a cultivar that brings bold structure and unexpected color to any curated plant collection. Each leaf unfurls with a deep green, glossy surface and prominent venation, making it as sculptural as it is alive.

This 2" specimen is an excellent entry point for collectors seeking a statement aroid at an accessible size — easy to establish, quick to root, and stunning as it matures.

Care Guide

Light

Bright indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves. An east- or north-facing window, or a few feet back from a bright south or west window, works well.

Water

Water when the top 1–2" of soil feels dry. Alocasia prefer consistent moisture but are sensitive to overwatering — ensure your pot has drainage and never let it sit in standing water. Reduce frequency in winter when growth slows.

Humidity

Thrives at 60–80% humidity. A humidifier, pebble tray, or placement in a humid room (bathroom, kitchen) will keep the leaves lush and reduce tip browning.

Soil & Potting

Use a well-draining aroid mix: a blend of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark works well. Repot when roots begin to circle the bottom or emerge from drainage holes — typically every 12–18 months.

Temperature

Prefers 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and temperatures below 55°F (13°C).

Fertilizer

Feed every 2–4 weeks during the active growing season (spring through early fall) with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Avoid fertilizing in winter.

Dormancy

Alocasia may drop leaves and enter a rest period during low-light winter months. This is normal — maintain light, reduce watering, and resume regular care as light returns in spring.

Toxicity

Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
