Alocasia 'Maharani' Sport Albo is a rare variegated mutation of the beloved Grey Dragon — its thick, heavily textured leaves retain the signature reptilian surface and compact, upright form, now punctuated by irregular sectors and splashes of pure white variegation. Where the standard Maharani impresses with its leathery, silver-grey foliage, the Albo form elevates it into something truly extraordinary. A prized find for the serious aroid collector.

Care Guide

• Light: Bright indirect light is essential — the white variegated sections lack chlorophyll and need consistent brightness to sustain the plant. Avoid direct sun, which scorches the white tissue.
• Water: Allow the top 1–2" of soil to dry between waterings. Never allow roots to sit in standing water — root rot is the primary risk. The Albo form is more sensitive than the standard; err on the drier side.
• Humidity: Prefers 60–80% humidity. A humidifier is strongly recommended — low humidity causes browning, especially on the white sections.
• Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 60°F.
• Soil: Well-draining aroid mix — perlite, orchid bark, and coco coir. Avoid dense or moisture-retaining soils.
• Fertilizer: Balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength, monthly during the growing season. Avoid high-nitrogen formulas, which can suppress variegation expression.
• Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
